Sea fishing around Mull

Our sea vessel, Corra-Bheinn, is available for whole boat charter from our pontoon on the southern shore of Loch na Keal.

Corra-Bheinn was built in 2019 by Cheetah Marine and has twin 200hp engines providing a cruising speed of 20knots. She has a Simrad electronics package supplying all the information necessary for sea voyages.

We can accommodate up to 12 persons onboard and our price includes fully qualified Skipper and Crew, fuel and pier dues.

Our target angling species

Skate

In our locality we have some of the best marks in UK waters for Flapper and Blue Skate (Common Skate) and have been lucky to catch some weighing in just shy of 200lbs. Due to the deep fishing depths we fish a maximum of 4 rods and once onboard the skate will be measured, weighed and returned back into the sea.

Mackerel

Mackerel, a fast predatory fish, are a vital link in the food chain and arrive in our waters during late spring and leave in the early autumn. Mackerel fishing is a great way to introduce sport fishing to youngsters or inexperienced anglers as they are quite easy to catch and delicious to eat!

Tope

If the Mackerel are in then there will Tope about! These sleek predators have the classic shark shape, a mouth full of teeth and a never ending hunger to match. Hooking a tope provides an exhilarating fight, our first season has been very successful and our current record tips the balance at just over 40lbs.

Pollock & Colefish

Recently Pollock have gained the reputation of being one of the most powerful and hardest pound-for-pound fighting fish in British waters. They thrive amongst the kelp forests and under sea cliffs and the coastal waters of Loch na Keal provide the ideal habitat for them. We fish by spinning or fly and our current record is 15lbs.

Other species

Other species regularly caught are Wrasse, Cod, Conger Eel, Spurdog and Thornback Ray
